Wooden slat mystery

Here's one that threw me initially...

but then I figured it out...

but then parts don't make sense-

The wood board slides in the grooves.  The top 6 grooves are close in width, the bottom two are different.  It's about 7 inches wide and 10 inches long-
Do you know what it is?

What?

  1. I wanted to guess a toy chair but i am wondering if it's a spice drying rack or something. Very strange.

  2. Strange indeed Ira! However I think it might be used lying on it's side, with the "back of the chair" on a flat surface.... possibly

  3. It is a desktop divider for paperwork...Adjustable height for storage and supplies.

  4. Interesting idea Jayar. Those thin skates wouldn't hold many bills!
